Oops, just realized that this comment posted only at the new location, not at the old one. OK then, here we are at the new URL/location of the blog!

Sorry, if my initial comment now sounds weird, it's because the blogspot address showed all the old posts but without the comment archive, but now I see all the comments are back on.
I was just going to share a priceless moment I saw recently, in DePalma's Body Double. The first time Jake Scully is shown the dancing woman in the window, he is shown in the frame with her husband. The twee but oh so haunting music has started, the camera cuts to a shot of the woman dancing, then back to Scully, who looks with a smile to his friend, who is now gone. And that small moment, with the character suddenly alone with his obsessions (he doesn't look to see where his friend has gone but straight away goes back to looking in the telescope), moving from a shared joke to a private passion, was overwhelming.

I remember that moment, Nathan. As I recall, we see the husband (Gregg Henry) in a long shot slip away with a little backward glance at Scully, satisfied that Scully has risen to the bait!

I rewatched Body Double for the first time in years a couple months ago. I'd love to read a well-written behind-the-scenes piece about that film. It's *so* go-go-'80s-indulgence. I'd completely forgotten about the Frankie Goes to Hollywood scene!

Darren, I'm not sure I've read a good piece about that film, but I'd love to! It's a film I've revisited a few times over the years.
